REIKI FOR ANIMALS

CAN REIKI HELP YOUR PETS?

Reiki is a safe non-invasive form of healing that addresses the whole animal – mind, body and spirit.

Reiki for Animals involves more than just applying human Reiki knowledge and skills. I have always had a very strong connection with animals from a young age. They communicate differently to us and are inherently more ‘aware of’ and ‘understanding of’ energy. They can quickly pick up on danger and in most cases are very accepting of calming Reiki energy.

This holistic complementary therapy can be of particular benefit for animals with behavioural issues that may have an emotional cause.

Why choose to use Reiki with your Animals?

  • It is safe and non-invasive

  • It is relaxing and calming for stressed animals.

  • It can help boosts the natural healing response after illness or surgery.

  • It complements and supports veterinary care.

  • It can increase energy levels and promotes overall well-being.

  • The animal chooses whether or not to accept Reiki and for how long.

  • Reiki always works for an animal’s highest good and can do no harm.

  • It may be given anywhere at any time – hands-on, hands-off or distantly

  • It provides compassion and support for older or dying animals and can make their transition easier for all concerned.

Depending on the situation and the animal, one session may be all that is required or a number of sessions may be more beneficial (I usually recommend three sessions depending on the animal's needs). Every animal is unique.

As a certified Animal Reiki Practitioner, I can help reduce their stress and anxiety, among other ailments.

I can also integrate Reiki with alternative therapies such as crystals and essential oils to help balance the animal and help it heal.

Please get in touch for details. I am only offering Distance Reiki Sessions at the moment.

Please note that I am not a vet and you should seek permission from your animal's own vet to address any health concerns prior to embarking on an alternative therapy treatment.

Reiki Distance Healing

Reiki Distance Healing is a healing technique based on the principle of free and uninterrupted energy flow and helps activate the natural healing response as well as helping to restore the animal's physical and emotional well-being. Animals are very sensitive to energy. In some cases this is more beneficial to them than an in-person treatment as it avoids any stress of being in a different situation.
To give a distance treatment I will require a photo of the animal and their name and location.

Hands-on Reiki

With my "Hands-on" Reiki therapy, your animal friend should feel relaxed and renewed after each session. The healing energy of Reiki will flow to where it is needed. Just a few treatments can make an enormous difference to the animal's health. If the animal is not open to receiving the treatment "hands-on" then I will do the "hands-off" version of treatment to suit their needs. Your animal knows what it needs. On rare occasions the animal will  completely refuse a treatment and we should respect that. In such cases a distance treatment may be appropriate at another time.

Reiki using Crystals

The use of specially selected crystals dependant on your animal's needs can enhance the Reiki treatment.  Just a few treatments with the addition of crystals can make an enormous difference to their health and wellbeing.  Occasionally your pet will select their own crystal in accordance with its needs as they can pick up the vibration of the crystals.

Reiki and Essential Oils

With the careful use of Essential Oils (not recommended for small animals or cats) in conjunction with Reiki, it can help an animal heal, particularly on an emotional level. I prefer to use a small amount in a diffuser rather than placing any oil directly on the animal.

I would never recommend anyone try using essential oils on their own animals as it can be extremely dangerous without the proper knowledge. The animal should never take essential oils internally.
