WHAT IS HOLISTIC HEALTH?
Holistic Heath considers the whole person - mind, body and spirit. All three aspects need to be balanced and in harmony so we can experiences maximum health and wellness in life. During this current period of time with the Corona virus around, this is more important than ever. Most of us are more stressed and anxious than we have ever been. Our emotions impact our physical health and our physical health can impact our mental and spiritual health.
Ancient Cultures around the world knew the importance of the mind, body, spirit connection for our overall wellbeing but it seems to be something that we have forgotten in today's busy world. Practices such as Yoga, Qigong and Meditation focus on this connection and have been around for thousands of years. In Ancient Greece, Plato believed that our mind, body and spirit should be treated and healed holistically and Socrates warned against treating only one part of ourselves.
Ancient healing traditions going back thousands of years also stressed the importance of living in harmony with nature. Most of us these days are cut off from nature and this has a damaging effect on our overall health and wellbeing.
Taking a holistic approach to your life and learning to connect back to yourself is the key to a healthy, happier you, and will also help with anxiety especially during these troubling times. You need to focus on your own self care first to enable you to be there for others.

In the 3 months we will undertake the following:
Take stock of where you are currently in your life and what you want to get out of the program.
Goals will be specific, measurable and achievable, relevant and time-bound so you will know exactly what to do and what success will look like.
Action items, exercises and various tasks will be assigned for each week to reach your specific goals.
Re-evaluate your progress at weekly intervals for accountability, to ensure that the program is working for you, and to adjust it accordingly.
Make a Plan for The Future
Create a plan to maintain your success and continue building toward your goals once your program is complete.
This program is a collaborative process in which I will guide and support you via email on your journey back to health and well-being but you are the only one who can do the work and are ultimately responsible for your own results. Sometimes you just need someone to help you explore all angles to find solutions. You also have a friend who is prepared to listen to you and that is priceless.
Also when you take this program with me you have the added option of trying Reiki Therapy to help remove negative or blocked energy and help bring you back into balance. I have included one Distance Reiki session for you for FREE as part of this program if you wish to try it.

YOUR WELLBEING - Easy Every Day Tips
To be truly healthy you have to take responsibility for your own level of wellbeing and everyday choices that effect your health on all levels (physical, mental and emotionally). This is not always easy but there are some simple choices you can make on a daily basis that contribute to your overall health and wellness:
- Eat healthy nutritious food - reducing processed food and cutting out red meat can positively impact your health.
- Look for ways to make your life more organised so your stress level is less.
- Make your environment as stress-free as possible.
- Take regular exercise outdoors and connect back with nature. The Japanese call this 'Shinrin yoku' (Forest bathing), it recharges you and is beneficial for your overall wellbeing
- Spend time near water if you can - the 'negative ions' increase feelings of wellbeing.
- Introduce Yoga, Tai Chi or Qigong into your exercise routine to get your chi
or life force flowing.
- Have an active and social lifestyle and interact with others. (But not during the Corona Virus epidemic!)
- Ensure you are getting enough sleep - try sticking to a regular sleep routine

- Make time for yourself every day and do something you enjoy to boost your happiness.
- Slow your mind down - meditation is a very powerful tool - the ancients knew this and science is now proving it -just breathe!
- Use therapies such as Reiki to re-align and balance your energies.
